Happy Friday everybody! If your living on the east
coast I hope your enjoying the snow, I know we’re experiencing the first real
snow fall of the year here at Kan Jam headquarters. If you’re living down south
or to the west I hope you’re enjoying the fact that you get to wear shorts and
sandals and laugh at us “eastcoasters” that have to deal with the snow. Enjoy
the fact that you probably aren’t reading this post right now, that you’re
probably outside enjoying the sun, playing Kan Jam.
Now that I have that off my chest, let’s go off the
Kan Jam map for the day. The holiday season is literally right upon us so what
was your favorite holiday memories? What gifts do you remember getting from
childhood?
I’ll start:
I got a lot of cool gifts for the holidays including
this laptop that I’m working on right this very second, but if I was going to
rank my three most memorable holiday gifts it would go something like:
3. I’m a Seinfeld addict so when the first few
seasons came out on DVD I had to get them just to hear the commentary by the
actors plus all of the bloopers. So seasons 1-3 of Seinfeld would be third most
memorable
2. Number one and number two are easy. Number two is
the complete set of Beatles action figures. I got them when I was maybe 12
years old and they’re still standing in prominence in the famous Beatles stage
position, though Ringo’s drums took a nasty fall a few years back.
1. As I said number two and number one were easy to
come up with. When I was younger, maybe 10 or 11 I got the Wayne Gretzky Hockey
game and instantly became addicted for the next year. Now this wasn’t your
typical video game, this was a house version of bubble hockey where you
controlled the players using the rods and everything. I was so enthralled by
this game that I would practice against myself so I could beat my dad, and even
kept standings, statistics, player records on the computer.
That probably says a lot about me that my three
favorite holiday gifts of all time include Seinfeld, the Beatles and Hockey. In
fact it definitely does because those would still be my three of my favorite
things today.
What were some of your favorite holiday gifts?
Anyways, this year who’s going to buy a Kanjam for
that special someone and make their wishes come true?
Until next time,
Alex
